Vilnius–
August 1–5, Twenty one Lithuanian Air Force personel took part in the international e sea survival exercise “Baltic Bikini 2005” in the vicinity of the Latvian city of Liepaja, reports Lithuania’s Department of Defense.
This is the second time the “Baltic Bikini” was held in the Baltic countries. Last year the exercise was hosted by Lithuania.
During the exercise air raft crews are trained to use life-saving equiipent, to receive rescue aircraft, to communicate with rescue teams by visual and electronic means.
Previously, the exercises were hosted by Denmark. However, the Baltic States have been selected to organize the exercises.
