Following the results of the year of 2005, the highest average wage among the former USSR countries is registered in Estonia and the lowest one in Tajikistan.
According to the CIS Statistics Committee Lithuania and Latvia are known to occupy the second and third places in the list of the most gainful next to Estonia. Uzbekistan and Tajikistan are the last ones.
Last year the monthly average salary in Estonia made around USD 593, USD 460 in Lithuania and about USD 430 in Latvia.
Average wage in Russia reached about USD 302, followed by Kazakhstan with USD 260. Then comes Ukraine with salary up to USD 220 and Byelorussia with USD 214.
