Baltic states aim to join EU energy market

VILNIUS, Lithuania, Dec. 3 (UPI) — The implementation of a plan to integrate the energy markets in the Baltics is a long-term objective, four governments declared after meeting with EU officials. Representatives from Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland said after meeting with delegates from the European Union that the Baltic Energy Market Interconnection Plan was on their immediate radar.
